some sketches at Yedamso restaurant, Gapyeong County (가평군)

Last Sunday, I participated in Korea Outdoor Watercolor Artist' group at Yedamso (예담소) restaurant. At the restaurant, the closing ceremony of the annual outdoor sketching of 2013 season was held festively. After the ceremony and lunch, I couldn't help sketching indoors with some of watercolorists due to the windy and cold weather outside. 

I was satisfied with my works in a pleasant mood inside the restaurant.

2013 야외사생 마무리 축제 분위기 속에서~~ 

바깥 풍경, 실내 정경, 다정한 인물 모습들입니다. 

야외 수채화와 현장 스케치는 일맥상통하고, 

서로 같은 연장선에 있다고 늘 생각합니다

Korea Outdoor Watercolor Arists' group(한국 야외수채화가회)  runs painting program on every Sunday in the countryside. The group held seasonal open and close events semiannually, and numbers of artists gathered to enjoying the festive meeting. 

Sometimes, I joined in the meeting and painted lively scenes including familiar figures.

20년 전부터 수채화를 수없이 그려왔던 사생들판에 요즘은 가끔씩 나가지만, 갈 때 마다 반가운 얼굴들과 현장 느낌에 고무되어 살아있는 장면들을 많이 그립니다.

Last Sunday morning I joined in the members of Korea Outdoor Watercolor Artists' group for painting watercolors. The fall weather was so fine to enjoy outdoor paintings. We left the parking lot of Apgujeong Hyundai Department Store for Chiljangni village located in Ahnsung City. A picturesque image of the buildings opposite side of the parking lot impressed me. And the rural atmosphere with natural sceneries in the countryside attracted me peacefully. The both places supplied good subjects to me. 

I drew some sketches here and there enjoying the good air with the group in a long time.

가끔 전원 스케치를 하는 것도 어반 스케치에 크게 도움이 됩니다.
맑은 공기, 넓은 시야, 들판에서의 호연지기...자연과 교감하는 좋은 기회이지요. 모처럼 전원 마을 수채화를 그리러 정든 野水會 회원들과 함께 가을의 정취를 즐긴 하루였습니다.
작은 스케치나 큰 작품 모두 열정의 깊이가 같고 소중한 것이 작가의 자세라고 느낍니다.
